The place was clean and warm.

I arrived at midnight and they waited for me; the large numbers outside the houses on the parking spaces made it easy to find. They charged VAT, but a sole trader BnB wouldn’t need to if they operated on their own.

Honestly, nothing stood out. The bed was okay for one night. I booked two nights but found another place for the second night. The house is very bare and basic, not recommended. It’s messy and unappealing. The host seemed friendly but clearly didn’t understand hosting. The UNESCO in the title is misleading; it’s a new-build on a housing estate on the outskirts of Drogheda.

The bed was comfortable, but I wish I’d taken photos to show how awful this house was. The bathroom was dirty, the bath mat disgusting, and there were half‑empty bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The bath screen was disgusting, the sink wasn’t clean, and it was absolutely vile. The kitchen had a pile of dishes, the cooker was stinking, and the dish towels smelled. The bins were overflowing in every room. Waste of money—avoid this place.
