“Amazing”

The hostel is amazing and perfectly located, just a 10‑minute walk to the main street and the beach. The night market on Friday is close and offers a lot of tasty, cheap local food. Jack, the owner, is very kind, funny, and always available. The bathrooms, showers, and rooms are clean, and there are plenty of activities to play with people and share a cozy time. There's also a friendly cat. We highly recommend staying here in Langkawi to enjoy the beautiful island. "Ici c'est Paris" 👋🏾

“To flee”

I had a terrible experience that forced me to leave the hostel. When I arrived, the air conditioning was broken and they moved me from the room at 1 am. In the morning there was no water in the toilet or bathroom, and later that evening they claimed the AC would be fixed but the room stayed at 50 °C, insisting it wasn’t their fault because they’d tried to repair it all day. When I asked for a refund, they offered only 4 euros, citing booking fees, so I had to push for a full refund.

The bed was comfy with enough space to store my backpack and personal items. The staff were very friendly, and the place is just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. 100 % recommend it!

“Recomendado!”

I stayed almost four weeks in Langkawi and the guesthouse was genuinely pleasant; I was in the girls‑only dorm and felt very comfortable. The house provides drinking water, coffee and tea, and a fridge for storing food if you prefer. Cleaning was usually good, though one week the cleaner missed three days. Reception was usually empty, but you could check in and ask questions via WhatsApp, which was very easy. The location is excellent—under ten minutes on foot to the beach and the main Cenang street with restaurants and shops. Just a minute away is a laundry and next door is Indiana Cafe, which I highly recommend. I would 100 % recommend Rembulan, and if I return to Langkawi I’ll definitely stay with them again. A bonus: I work online and, because of time zone differences, I sometimes had to work at 12:00 pm, 3:00 am, or 4:00 am; the staff were very flexible, letting me use the main area or the kitchen with lights and fans on, and my dorm mates were never disturbed. Thanks to Mira and the rest of the team for such pleasant service and for making my stay comfortable and accessible.

Rembulan is an excellent place to stay! The beds are large, comfortable, and come with curtains. There’s a small kitchen, and the laundry is just in front of the property. It’s only a ten‑minute walk to the beach and all the restaurants—except for Indiana Coffee, which is next door and serves the best healthy food ever! I would 100 % recommend Rembulan, both for the place itself and for the people behind the project. I can’t wait to return!
