Maverick Hotel and Casino by Red Lion Hotels

“It is a good value and we usually always stay here for the casino and Starbucks!”

Everything was clean and I liked having the Starbucks in the hotel. The bathroom shampoo and soap dispenser was unusable because it wasn’t hung on the wall; it just sat on the side of the tub and couldn’t be used.

“AWFUL”

The beds are old, the room needs a serious update, the outside garbage cans overflow, it’s not worth the money we paid; the TV has very few channels, the towels feel old and used, and the linens have stains.

“Bed was good but walking either to the elevator up and down the stairs were a challenge”

The place was tidy and the bed felt cozy, but it sat on the second floor and was far from the elevator, which made walking up and down steps a real struggle for me because I have artificial knees, an artificial hip, two bad shoulders and neuropathy in my feet. I asked for a room near the casino because of my mobility issues, but my husband didn’t seem worried when we checked in. When we spoke to the casino director on our last night, he also didn’t seem concerned about moving us, so we had to pack up and relocate before leaving in the morning. We’ve stayed here before, but I’m not sure if we’ll return.

“It was soso”

The room really needs a major update.

The food at the restaurant and café was tasty, but the rooms lacked working coffee makers and there were no ice machines on any floor except for one near the registration area on floor one, and there were no signs indicating where the working machine was. You end up having to check every floor in every building just to discover this.
