The staff’s kindness and smiles are wonderful, and the décor is lovely. The very large bed, slippers, and robes are a treat. The breakfast is fabulous, and they cook your eggs to order. No issues.

A family-run, charming hotel in a very good location. No complaints.

We cycled through Switzerland, Austria and France for three months and this was the 77th hotel we stayed in, and it was one of the better ones. Vicky, the owner/manager, couldn't have done more to make the place feel welcoming, comfortable and enjoyable. The foyer was attractive and warm, and that vibe stuck with us the whole night, leaving us already looking forward to a return. Our room was quite large and spotless. Guests can reserve a spa and sauna room for private relaxation. There’s secure bike storage in a large locked room below the hotel, with space for road, gravel, mountain bikes and ski gear. The foyer also has a reception, a bar and quick access to the dining area where nightly meals and breakfast are served. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was closed during our stay, but Vicky suggested several options in the town centre 100 m away on the same street. Breakfast was superb – a huge selection, with fresh dishes cooked on demand. We had no idea what to expect in Les Gets and were pleasantly surprised by the lively town; the Chamois d'Or Hotel fit in very nicely with our experience.

Everything: the staff are friendly, the décor is great, the comfort is solid, the breakfast is more than generous, and the parking is convenient. It’s in a charming village but everything is closed at seven. The only issue was that the housekeeper didn’t bring a coffee pod when you stay several nights, and we didn’t notice that the restaurant was closed.

Good breakfast and central location in Les Gets. The rooms are very small (were the photos taken with a wide‑angle lens?), the floor creaks a lot, and above all, a “old” smell hits you as soon as you enter the reception hall.
