“Excelente for the price”
I loved the location, and the staff were clean and helpful, but the same staff and location also felt a bit off.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful, but we stayed in the LG and the train noise was loud and frequent.

The place was in an excellent spot and the staff were friendly, yet the room was very dark and enclosed, and the bathroom felt tiny and cramped.

The location fit my needs perfectly and the staff were lovely, but the room was small yet well appointed; before I left, I found wrappers and a mouse trap under the bed, and the stairs to the fourth floor were steep and narrow with no lift, making it hard for an older person to take a breath at each level.

The old hotel was well cared for and just a stone’s throw from Paddington Station, with the owner/manager and staff welcoming, helpful, and polite, even carrying our luggage up without asking; the bathroom was very clean and seemed newly remodeled, the beds were comfortable with lovely linens, and there was a cute little park across the street. However, the 67 steps to our room were steep, and after staying two nights we avoided the second day because we couldn’t repeat the climb; after the first night we discovered the water was not potable (a sign in the bathroom warned us), so the hotel should at least provide bottled water if no drinking water is available; I’m 5’5” 135lbs and when I turned around in the shower, the water lever was set to straight cold and I nearly died of shock; the shower was very, very, very small.
