The Vagabond Bunkhouse

“Mice and rats inside every room and inside kitchen”

This hostel was the dirtiest and filthiest hostel I have ever seen in my entire life of 45 years I have been on planet earth. Mice and rats inside the rooms and inside the kitchen. Dirt everywhere and bed sheets smell like they have never been washed and every room has a stink of rats and smell of vomit. Like this place has never been cleaned before. Disgusting place. I was unhappy being placed with four Asian men when I was told my daughter would stay with other women, and everything else was problematic.

The location was fine, but people were chatting loudly outside until late and the place needed a good clean.

The location was perfect, the view of alpine trees over the mountains from the window was breathtaking, the Point‑pair bridge was within walking distance, and free parking was handy, with no negatives.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the kitchen and bar were convenient. The room had a drying area and bike storage, but the beds weren't the most comfortable.
