“Just what my mental health needed!”

The room offered stunning views and plenty of amenities, and the location was fantastic. However, it sat a bit further from the beach than I had preferred.

“Good stay. Great parking. As good as places with a much higher price point.”

Parking was convenient, with a spot on the same level as the room, almost like parking in your own driveway. The room was spotless, featured a great beachfront view, and offered good value. Since the beach is the main attraction, staying in a hotel room saves money for other activities. I’ll likely return. The property itself is nice.

“Worst experience of my life.”

The only redeeming factor was the location. We barely made it through the first night, but on the second night we found roaches in the room after turning on the lights. We killed one and left it on the floor for the staff to see. Repeated attempts to reach the owner went unanswered until three days later. We left immediately and booked elsewhere. The delayed reply claimed the insects were palmetto bugs, not roaches, which I know the difference between. The owner also said no refund would be issued because we stayed only one of five nights. The refrigerator tipped over when opened, and the furniture was on the verge of giving out. The couch had a wet‑dog smell. Being 1000 miles away, we tried to make do. We spent a lot of money on five nights we didn’t actually stay. The roach problem should be taken seriously; no further response from the owner.

“We had such a great time at this resort! Highly recommended. Can’t wait to come back again.”

We skipped breakfast, but the staff were friendly and professional, and the resort’s location is great. The only downside was that there wasn’t enough soap for a family of six.
