Table tennis and karaoke were free if you booked them in advance. There was no replacement for the bath.

The bathtub was good, but the balcony was falling apart and the room felt old; using the fire‑escape stairs was unpleasantly dirty. It was cheap, but also cheap in a bad way, offering no sense of value at all.
