“Wouldn’t recommend it at all”
The only positive thing about this stay was the location and the host’s politeness. As soon as we entered the property, we immediately realized that it was in a very poor and run‑down condition, and there was a strong sewage smell throughout the building. At first, we thought it might just be the entrance area, but once we got into the room, the situation was exactly the same. There was a strong sewage smell, the bathroom was rusty and in bad shape, and an air‑conditioning unit was mounted above the bed on two precarious metal brackets. The sheets were dirty and stained, and insects were crawling around the bathroom door. We immediately contacted the host to report the situation, which was nothing like what we had expected based on the positive reviews we had read. Fortunately, the host came to the property and was polite and understanding. He agreed to cancel the reservation and give a refund, which we appreciated. What disappointed me most is that this was the first time I had ever experienced something like this with a platform I had always considered reliable. Unfortunately, this experience made us reconsider that trust. I strongly believe that the reviews for this property should be checked more carefully, as our experience was completely inconsistent with many of the positive reviews we had read.
