“wirklich toll”
The location is wonderful, Vierzehnheiligen is almost right outside the door, the host was very nice, and everything nearby (Kloster Banz, Staffelberg) is close; it’s a shame there was no lunch menu.

The staff were friendly, the single room was nice, clean, and quiet at night. However, finding the entrance was a first‑time hassle, and I had to call the host after I had already checked in. There were no toiletries, no door separating the bathroom from the room, and I was led to believe I had already paid more, but nothing was explained about that at arrival. When I had to leave very early, an email was sent later demanding that I PAY IMMEDIATELY (meaning without delay). Very little was communicated about how to check out at all.

The staff were friendly and helpful, gave good information about local activities, and the outdoor area was usable. No negatives.

I stayed in a tiny village with no restaurants; having a Notproviant was essential.

The innkeeper was incredibly helpful when I was lost on a bike tour of the Main river without a map; she lent me a guidebook for the Main Radweg and promised I’d mail it back after finishing, which I did. She also managed to arrange dinner for me after a wet, late‑night ride from Kulmbach when the kitchen had already closed. However, it wasn’t made clear that the inn didn’t accept credit cards, so I had to pay in cash.
