Palm Inn Hotel near Tyler Mall Riverside

The morning property manager is nice and i like the pool when it was clean they need to service it more often though. also liked the size of the room. The afternoon property manager was charging me cash on the side and pocketing it for having a visitor and for a "late fee" everytime we paid after 10 o'clock when we have been here for 4 months paying on time saying if we didnt pay him 40 dollars here 60 there he was gunna make us leave. he was charging 5 bucks any time someone needed a new key and saying we dont get one till we pay the cash. One of the nights we used booking com my aunt used her card said she was booking for someone else because it has that option the front desk ignored that part of the reservation accepted the payment then at 500 o'clock in the afternoon the manager, some short middle eastern guy, same guy doing everything else i mentioned, came and knocked on my door shaking me down for money with some other dude that11 dont even work here never seen him before in 4 months saying if I didnt pay cash they were gunna call the cops because im not my aunt when I had Already paid and had alerted the property of the situation and they knew the booking was for me and they had told my boyfriend earlier while i was at work it was OK at checkout time. The maids dont clean dont bring new towels and stuff and are super rude. The only person who is nice and professional is the manager lady in the morning

The guy who handed me the room after payment was rude and kept insisting the towels were clean, but he never bothered me otherwise. Everything else was awful: the rooms, the service, and the overall experience were not to my liking.

The air conditioner worked, but the hotel felt like a budget establishment. I was lucky to get an inside parking spot because someone had left; the clerk said I could park in the outside lot, but there were people hanging out there, so I didn’t. I could hear people talking outside almost all night. Inside was clean, yet I didn’t feel safe. A chair blocked the door and the locks were problematic. The stay was prepaid and a bit late, so I almost canceled and looked elsewhere.

Nothing good at all. The area was terrible, and the property itself was disgusting.
