The hotel provides good value for money and the staff are friendly, with no complaints.

The room was clean and the staff were kind, but it felt a bit sloppy despite the recent construction.

I paid N$4373.70 for two nights and left the next day, losing the money. Traveling with my 10‑year‑old daughter, the room was disappointing: no small fridge, and it seemed to be right next to staff quarters, so staff kept walking past our see‑through door and we had very little privacy. It was noisy, and the salad I ordered was completely dry, with no dressing; I could only pick at tomatoes, cucumber, feta, and three tiny olives—far from what I expected from a guesthouse of that rating. The next morning we were woken up twice, even though I had booked and paid for an extra night; the staff should have checked before repeatedly disturbing guests or confirming our vehicle was still outside. Breakfast didn’t happen at all—after sitting at a table for more than 10 minutes with no help, I asked for porridge for my daughter, and the staff just looked at each other, one asking if there were oats. No proper response, no tap water or coffee. We left hungry and thirsty while she had to play a hockey game in the dry heat. We paid for breakfast, yet nobody bothered to help us. When traveling with a child, you expect a reasonable level of comfort, privacy, and basic hospitality, but that was not the case, leaving us feeling unwelcome and disappointed.

The small, intimate resort was a bit worrisome because it’s on one of the capital’s main streets, but it met our expectations. The staff were very friendly and helped us arrange extra activities. We extended our stay by half a day at a reasonable price. Thanks, Fig Tree.
