I only appreciated the earplugs; I saw them and immediately imagined we’d need them, even though the street was pedestrian. Then I realized the room was very dirty and neglected, and unfortunately that’s not the management’s fault—under the window of our room there were loud shouting and screaming all night from men right below.

The place sits in a great spot and the bed and pillows are comfortable, with a room of decent size. However, the shower head was broken and wouldn’t stay up, and I felt the price was high, especially since the bathroom was outside and breakfast wasn’t included. They mentioned I could leave my luggage before check‑in, but when I returned I found it left unattended in the main entrance. I’d advise against leaving valuables until you have your key.

It’s not far from Florence’s main sights. When we arrived, there was no staff and the front door was locked; we got no instructions on how to get inside and waited half an hour until another couple arrived, who also had no guidance. We tried messaging the staff, who ignored us and never apologized. The only way we got in was with building neighbours. Throughout our stay, other couples faced the same problem and we helped when possible. The only time we saw staff was at the end of our stay to collect the tourist tax. The building is on a busy street, so it was loud at night until early morning, and the shower in the bathroom doesn’t fit anyone taller than 185 cm.

The location, room size, nearby amenities, room quality, and ease of access are all great. The shower was a bit inconvenient because the bathtub was narrow, and the water leaks a little.
