“Chinchon”
The beauty and care given to this parador are impressive, though the food does not live up to the wonderful setting.

The Parador de Chinchón, housed in a 17th-century convent, retains its original character and architecture. A magnificent cloister and gardens, featuring cypress trees and roses, create a lovely setting. The hotel offers spacious rooms, a seasonal outdoor pool, and two onsite restaurants serving local-style dishes and wine, providing a peaceful and relaxing experience in Chinchón.

The old building’s charm, the gardens, and the proximity to Plaza Major are nice, but the rooms have no soundproofing and the main street is noisy with cars all night; you can hear everything from the neighbors’ rooms and bathrooms, even a neighbor yawning, and people talking loudly and moving furniture until 1 a.m.; at 5:45 a.m. garbage trucks ran past, waking the whole neighborhood. It was a terrible night with very little sleep, especially since I had specifically requested a quiet room overlooking the gardens, not the street.

It’s very well located and a beautiful place, very comfortable and nice to enjoy the gardens and spaces. The food is wonderful, and the room and common areas are very enjoyable.

The facilities are impeccable; the room is clean, large, and spacious. The bathroom is super comfortable and everything is tidy.

The price of the first night was a bit high.
