“Aus dem Hotel könnte man was machen”

The view of the Canale Grande was great, and from the pier you can see the Rialto Bridge. The room was huge, like a palazzo. Checking into the other hotel was fine, but we had to exit at Rialto and carry our luggage to the check‑in and back; that could have been avoided if we had left at Ca'D'Oro. The kettle and the fridge were very useful since there was no breakfast. The bathroom was newly renovated. There were many good restaurants and bars nearby. Unfortunately, there was no staff in the building, so one day people slept on the sofas in the hallway. The steep staircase could use a deep cleaning. The rooms are very sound‑prone, which was a problem especially during the neighbors’ quarrel. For the price we would have expected more, even though it is truly beautiful Venice.

We had a pleasant stay overall. The location is very convenient, and one highlight was that all five of us could stay together in the same room. The property is also near one of the canal docks, with beautiful views toward the Rialto Bridge. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and kind, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. A few things future guests should know: the bathroom had an unpleasant smell from the shower drain/plumbing. Also, reaching the property requires climbing a very high staircase, which can be difficult with large suitcases and especially hard for guests with mobility issues. Another inconvenience is that check‑in takes place at a different location from the accommodation. After arriving with luggage, you have to walk to the check‑in spot and then walk again to the actual property, which can make the arrival harder. If you need a taxi from near the property, I strongly recommend arranging it the day before, as it may not be easy to find one immediately in the area.

“Nie polecam!”

The location is good, and the staff at the main reception were friendly and helpful, but the building where the room was located had no service. The bathroom had a nasty smell, the room was poorly decorated, and the common areas looked neglected; the price‑to‑quality ratio was very poor.
