I loved the location, the cleanliness, and the staff friendliness – it was very comfortable. The breakfast was very meager; if hot eggs weren’t offered, at least include good brand‑name bar options. The air‑conditioner on/off cycle was loud, which was distracting while trying to sleep – ear plugs helped. At checkout the front desk person was MIA; there was no bell to ring, and after several minutes I had to shout out. Others nearby said someone was there just before I arrived. It was annoying to wait at least 5 minutes when I wanted to leave quickly.

The little room right on campus was adorable and very clean. However, there was a strong scent of air freshener in the AC unit that wafted out each time it turned on; sensitive people, like asthmatics, should ask if it can be removed because it was quite bothersome. The room itself didn’t smell bad, so it seemed unnecessary. The pillows were also very small and uncomfortably firm.

The location right on the university campus was ideal for our weekend stay. Last year at this time we could have asked for a better stay in terms of overall cleanliness and staff friendliness, but this year the experience was anything but pleasant. The room was only clean enough; many items had been neglected for a while. The staff were rude in the best way I can say – they wouldn’t go out of their way to help or show any care.

“Excellent rooms. Quiet hotel. Perfect for family stay when visiting the campus.”

Everything was fantastic—definitely the best hotel experience in 30 years of traveling. The only thing that bothered me was that the restaurant was closed on the day we stayed.
