The accommodation is in a beautiful location, clean, quiet, and offers excellent value for money. Plenty of parking spaces are available in the large courtyard. Overall, everything needed for a peaceful break is there, though a few small details could make it truly outstanding. We were not entirely satisfied with the following, but none were so disruptive as to ruin our holiday experience. We feel it’s important to give full feedback to both the property and potential guests. 1. The host: they were a bit less flexible and direct with younger guests; perhaps we were not very likable. During check‑in we couldn’t arrive within the only 2‑hour window, and although they approved a 1‑hour late arrival, it was handled poorly. 2. “Rules”: the common area has many posted bans that are sometimes absurd, questionable in purpose, and a few absurd regulations. They look like remnants of the 1990s and could definitely be reviewed. 3. Facilities: 3.1 Kitchen: there are pots, utensils, a freezer, a fridge, so it’s adequate, but if the property ran at full capacity, the only 2‑stove mobile stove and 1 mobile oven would cause bottlenecks. We understand they don’t provide ingredients, but items like cooking oil, fat, sugar, and salt would be helpful for guests arriving from afar for short stays. Also there are 3 “sharp” knives, which could fit a knife block, plus about +2 smaller sharp knives. 3.2 Room: basically everything is there; towels are a bit worn but adequate for the purpose. Soundproofing is less good, depending on who is in the neighboring room. The 1500 Ft/day surcharge for the air‑conditioner with 3 heat waves during the hot 30+ °C summer feels like a winter heating surcharge. I think the surcharge is outdated; if they must increase room rates, they could avoid the backlash that comes with the surcharge. 3.3 Garden: the gate can only be entered with an electric remote, which is given to every room. We think this leads to inflexible check‑in/check‑out procedures that can only happen with staff present. A “traditional” key‑door solution would ease the hosts’ lives. The garden patio is cute but a bit worn.

The accommodation is in a wonderful natural setting, quiet, though located next to the main road. The room is comfortable and clean, and the shared dining area is large and relatively well equipped.

The room was comfortable, the kitchen was large with a dedicated table and fridge, and breakfast was big for a reasonable extra fee. It was very quiet, had plenty of parking space, and the host was very friendly and on site. Getting to a restaurant required a three to five minute drive, but you could cook in the kitchen. There is an excellent cukraszda in Bakonybel at the Benedictine Monastery. The only downside is that there are no restaurants within walking distance.

The hosts were kind and the accommodation was well equipped; we were in cool weather and it was pleasantly warm. The only issue was that it wasn’t as good as we expected.
