“ein angenehmer Aufenthalt”
The host welcomed us into her home with exceptionally colorful rooms. The room had a river view, though it was on the riverbank side. A garden with seating areas and a pool were available, but we didn’t use them. Breakfast was lovingly prepared and presented, featuring fresh bread and baguette with homemade jam, yogurt, and freshly squeezed orange juice. The location is within walking distance of the town and offers good restaurants.
“Excellente adresse en bord de Loire”
Dany, our hostess, was born in the village and loves sharing her affection for it, the location, and the authenticity of the house. The meals and breakfast are excellent, and Dany goes above and beyond.
Villa Chanelle sits on the banks of the Loire. From the room you look out over this once mighty river, which during our visit was dry and almost transparent, flowing through France where many nobles had homes. The villa looks like one from a book. The occasional squeak and creak of the stairs and wooden floor add to the charm of the magnificent building, evoking dreams of past times. In the back there’s a pool that provided refreshing relief amid the exceptional temperatures we experienced. In the morning we had a simple yet tasty breakfast: fresh bread, French toast, good coffee, all combined with an extremely friendly host. Nothing else was needed to start the day well and pleasantly.
“Much enjoyable and characterful overnight stay”
The house has a characterful and interesting vibe. Its location is very good, overlooking the Loire, though the water level was low and lacking. It’s within walking distance of an attractive village and an excellent restaurant. I really enjoyed the delicious continental and individual breakfast. The only downside was that accessing the house from the parking area was easier.
Villa Chanelle is a little gem cherished by a charming hostess.
