The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room itself was clean. However, the soundproofing was very poor. The night was extremely noisy, and we could hear sounds from almost every room. We could even hear the water running in the bathroom of the neighboring room. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to sleep and get proper rest. Overall, the cleanliness and staff were good, but the noise insulation needs significant improvement.
“Completely unacceptable”
I’m absolutely furious with my experience at Hotel International Ohrid. I booked a room, and it was confirmed without any issues. Everything seemed fine until I arrived after traveling 2 hours, only to be told they had no room available. How on earth does this happen when my booking was confirmed and showed up in my active bookings? This is completely unacceptable. I always choose hotels because I can’t stand staying in private apartments, but I was forced into booking one far from the lake, which ruined my entire trip. This hotel clearly doesn’t give a damn about its guests. They left me stranded and stressed, and allowed this disaster to happen.
I made a reservation and when I arrived the hotel told me they had already closed all reservations through Booking and had no available room at the moment, and advised me to contact them. So this can also happen unfortunately.

The service was excellent, varied. The guests were noisy, could be a bit cleaner. Overall, for one night it was acceptable.
