Hotel Gambone

“una vacanza da rifare! relax e cordialità ...very good!”

The location was excellent, staff were discreet and polite, but the only flaw was that the beach was not included in the room price and the beach clubs were not near the hotel. A large free beach just 200 m away was beautiful. The beach clubs charged a minimum of € 50.00 for a sun umbrella and two loungers on the last row. Cleanliness of the room was good, but the common areas were not well cleaned; the glass tables with fake flower vases were never dusted, and the breakfast buffet was not restocked in the morning.

The location was fantastic, close to the beach and restaurants, with a family atmosphere and a special Italian vibe because the accommodation is in an old building. The staff were very kind and helped with everything. Parking was not easy, but we eventually managed to find a paid parking spot.

Everything was perfect.

The location was great, but for the price the room was small and noisy, with a bathroom tucked into a cupboard. Breakfast was served at a dedicated table in our room, and a sewage truck outside the window made a lot of noise that couldn’t be moved. I even ordered a second coffee, but the milk was burnt – after 15 years in Italy this was the first time. The family business tried hard, but they need outstanding service and friendliness to compensate for the aging facilities, and we experienced the opposite.

The hotel sits right by the beach and the city centre, on the first line, so the view from the rooms is stunning. The air‑conditioning really helps to stay cool on hot days.
