This time we were touring Normandy with our 12‑year‑old granddaughter. The town is great for exploring Normandy, right by the beach and other amenities. Car‑parking is available on the square and roads around the hotel. A street market is on Fridays nearby. The staff are friendly. The food is good – we dine there for dinner. The hotel has charm and a somewhat old‑fashioned style, so good we’re returning next month.

The hotel’s location was spot‑on! Our room for four was huge and super comfortable, and the décor of both the hotel and our room was truly charming. The breakfast was incredibly good, and we really enjoyed our stay.

The pictures on the website were misleading; the shower was tiny, so at 187 cm I had to bend to bathe, and the sink was also very low. The worst part was the dinner – the pizza was burnt and blackened, the Bolognese was awful with raw pasta, almost no meat, and an overload of tomato sauce; it was basically inedible, so we had to eat elsewhere. The photos again didn’t match reality, and the shower was clearly meant for dwarfs, forcing me to crouch to shower.
