The pool and restaurant area are great, and the staff are very friendly (big thanks to Juan). The beds lack curtains.

I had an amazing stay, spending three days—Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, which was a holiday. I initially thought it would be crowded, but it was quite calm and the dorms were spacious. The leisure area with tables and the pool is a nice spot, and breakfast is served there too. The only area that could improve is the breakfast menu: it’s served via a menu and you pick items like bread or a crepe, coffee or tea, and a fruit salad portion; more drink options or making anything outside those choices free would help. Other than that, everything was great—the team is extremely attentive and helpful, and they offer tours. I went on the "Cachoreiras" tour, which was simply amazing; each stop, the guide is a lovely person who speaks English very well, especially useful when you’re surrounded by other foreigners. If you want to practice English and meet people from different places, Casa Viva is ideal, not to mention its natural surroundings and a short walk—about 10 minutes—from the town center.

The staff service was excellent and the location is good too. For those who don’t mind walking a bit, it’s worth exploring the area. No complaints.

The staff, location, vibe and loved the hippie house. Of course the included breakfast also !. A communal fridge would be good

Cute spot, spot on in Paraty. Breakfast was solid, common areas great for hanging out or chilling. Coffee? Not great.
