The location is great, even in the center. Small and quiet village. The room was spacious and clean. There is a closed space to store bicycles. We had some communication problems with the receptionist because we didn’t speak French. Since we were on a bike, we had to walk around outside to enter through the back to store the bike in a suitable spot. I didn’t quite understand why we couldn’t go directly through reception.

Breakfast was perfectly adequate, with ham, cheeses, eggs, bread, pastries, cake, cereals, juices, teas and coffees. It was good value. The beds were memory‑foam mattresses and very comfortable. A mirror in the bedroom above the desk would have been useful for ladies to do makeup; the only mirror is in the bathroom.

It was quiet, clean, good breakfast. Coming back after 10 and using the back entrance—better lighting needed. Maybe motion lighting. It isn’t obvious where the door was in the dark. I’d have been frightened by myself.

The staff were charming, and the breakfast offered good value for money, but the only mirror was in the bathroom; having mirrors in the bedrooms above the desk would have been useful.
