The reception was terribly unpleasant from the moment we arrived because the receptionist was nervous, rude, and not welcoming at all. As someone who manages the Marylebone Hotel in London, I am very sensitive to hospitality standards, so the staff’s attitude was deeply disappointing and not what a hotel should represent. The situation worsened when my partner asked about accessing Netflix in the room; instead of a polite answer, the receptionist responded in a very unpleasant way, as if the answer should be obvious. This tone led to a verbal altercation with my partner, which is totally unacceptable for a simple information request. Because of this, my partner and I decided to leave the hotel and went to the TIMHOTEL, where we were greeted as expected. We never used the room since we left immediately. It is truly regrettable that a simple Netflix question caused such a situation and forced us to cancel our stay. I sincerely hope the management takes this seriously, as reception staff behavior is crucial to a hotel’s image and reputation. I can also provide a more forceful version if you want to request a full refund.
