I would strongly recommend avoiding this place; the staff were horrible and unpleasant, and when we arrived the owner claimed there was no room for us even though we had a reservation through booking. They suggested we look elsewhere, showing total indifference, and other guests mentioned there was no hot water.

I didn’t like anything; the rooms were awful, the showers were broken, and the windows wouldn’t open.

We booked two rooms a few days earlier via booking and drove five hours to the property, expecting to stay with family for the night. The desk guy immediately started yelling that we had no rooms and that we weren’t telling the truth about our online reservation. He said they didn’t accept online bookings and no one could help us. When I asked him to call a manager, he said, “I am the boss here,” and pushed me away. I insisted on a manager, but he refused. I’ve never had a worse experience anywhere; Albes was awful. We were lucky to find rooms at the next hotel, OK Hotel, which I highly recommend. At least we didn’t end up on the street in a foreign country. Booking should hold hotels like Albes accountable; when you reserve and expect a place to sleep, you must get it. No one should ever stay at ALBES – WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE!!!

I was very disappointed with my stay at Hotel Albes. A young staff member was polite, but that couldn’t offset the many negative aspects. The rooms were in a shocking condition: dirty, with spiders, cockroaches, and cobwebs. One wonders when they were last cleaned. A strong, unpleasant sewer smell made the stay even worse. Towels were never changed unless you explicitly asked, and housekeeping never came. Despite all this, we had to stay because many other hotels were booked. Overall, this hotel does not meet the standards or expectations of a properly run hotel concept.
