“Nice stay.”
The coffee machine came stocked with tea and coffee, and there was bottled water available. The toiletries were well selected and the bed was very comfortable.

The restaurant opened later than most places nearby, but the huge outdoor area had plenty of tables. The room was comfortable and we could bring our dog with us. The walk into the city was a bit of a trek and parking was very tricky.

The location is close to the city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pub was cosy. Parking can be found close by and is reasonably cheap at the public car park near The Boathouse Pub. The room was very hot at night and the fan didn’t cool it enough. The small window was insufficient.

The Waterman is only a 10/15 minute walk from Cambridge’s centre along the riverbank. The pub feels quirky, has a nice outdoor area, and serves a great breakfast. Matt the manager was very accommodating and helped a lot with our stay. We picked a cosy room, but it was smaller than the photo on the site—fine if you travel light or alone, but it felt cramped. Matt kindly arranged an alternative room so I could unpack properly. The toilet seats were loose in both bedrooms we stayed in, and the rooms would benefit from a fresh coat of paint.

The location was convenient, though it sits right on a busy junction.
