I loved the onsens!

The location was a 20‑minute walk from Hiroshima station, the Peace Memorial Museum, and Shukkeien Garden, and a mall was about a 5‑minute walk away; the nearest konbini was roughly a 3‑minute walk. The staff were very helpful and accommodating in many ways. I have two 7‑cm tattoos and they gave me free tattoo covers, telling me I could use the public onsen if I wanted. They provided stickers in two sizes, small (which they gave me) and medium. In the room there is a keypad to choose room cleaning, DND, or towel change only. We forgot to select it the night before, so the staff called us the next day to confirm any services we needed. We usually don’t get up until after 11 and requested new towels every day; they kindly put the new towels in a bag and hung them on the door outside our room so they didn’t disturb our sleep. When I first booked the hotel, I didn’t realize all the free perks. They offer free coffee and lemonade in the lobby, and you can grab toiletries like toothbrushes and razors. There’s a small library on the 2nd floor where you can borrow popular manga. From 9:30 pm to 11 pm, a chef makes and serves ramen (½ portion) for guests. After the onsen, a chest freezer with three different ice creams is available at night, and in the morning they serve a probiotic drink. As mentioned, they give free tattoo cover‑ups for guests with small/medium tattoos. The women’s onsen requires a pass code to enter, and that’s also where the women’s laundry is located. There are two washing machines and two dryers; the men’s side has four washers and four dryers. Washing machines are free, dryers cost ¥100 per 20 minutes. The pillows were flat, and the occupancy tracker for the onsen was never accurate or close.

They offered a welcome drink, hot springs, a probiotic drink after the bath, ice, and a night snack of night‑roaring soba, plus a local breakfast buffet; I’m a huge fan of Dormy Inn ^_^. However, the male staff at check‑in were terribly disappointing.

All‑round great value for money, rooms were bigger than expected, and breakfast was good. It was great.
