The view was lovely, the location great, and the people friendly. Drinks were very cheap for guests. The overall vibe felt a bit dated, the bed was somewhat uncomfortable, and the bathroom looked like the 60s/70s, but the loft‑style room with a balcony still had charm.

The hospitality and the managers’ willingness are simply fantastic. We were disappointed that we couldn’t speak German, because they wanted to tell us more about the sights and just check how our stay was going. Breakfast was truly abundant with high‑quality products. The location is perfect for reaching any nearby destination and for its quietness: the property is far enough from the road that traffic doesn’t disturb us. The only small issue was the bathroom supplies: shower products were missing, which we’re used to finding in such places, so we initially found ourselves without them. That wasn’t a problem at all, because there are several shops nearby where we could buy everything needed. Another small surprise for us Italians was that payment could only be made in cash, with a proper invoice. We acknowledge that both the payment method and the bathroom supplies were listed in the description on Booking, and we didn’t pay enough attention. The only thing we didn’t find, even though it was listed, was the hair dryer.

The location is great for exploring the Black Forest, parking is free, and the hosts are lovely. There was nothing else to note, except that payment could only be made in cash, not by credit card, which we missed when booking.
