GINGER Hotel

The location was excellent—everything was within walking distance. The hotel sits on the upper part of Rustrateli Avenue, so despite the city’s terrain, walking was very comfortable. It was literally a 7‑minute walk to Stamba and about 5 minutes to my favorite restaurant “Keto i Kote,” which offers an indescribable view. Breakfasts were luxurious, rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly, with most speaking Russian fluently. However, when booking I specifically chose a room with a city view, but upon arrival I was given a room on the basement level (–1). The balcony opened directly onto the roof of an annex that completely blocked the view. My expectations regarding the room category and window view were not met.

“Я взяла отель ради вида, но больше останавливаться не хочется.”

Overall, the hotel was decent, especially when the manager, at our request, moved us to a higher floor with a good view. We stayed for the last three days of our vacation and I’m very grateful that they accommodated us. The location and view were generally what we enjoyed at the hotel. The air‑conditioners were old and worked poorly. We were there in September, so I don’t know how they handled summer. Breakfast felt more like a campfire snack than a 4‑star hotel, with only sausages and tasteless cold cuts from the meat section. There was one type of cheese, and the table mainly had various sauces, etc. During our stay the restaurant was celebrating a birthday; music played until one o’clock at night and guests shouted until 3 am, apparently it’s normal there.

A small mix‑up happened at check‑in, but the staff resolved it quickly in our favor, and the manager deserves special thanks; everything else was great, though there was a booking error.

“Perfectly Beautiful”

The vibe and staff were super friendly and helpful at the same time, and while I liked the location—though it’s on the top—I had no issues with that; most importantly, the atmosphere and ambiance were really good.

“Awesome Ginger!!”

The view from our room was stunning, and the room had everything we needed; we tried the hotel restaurant on the first night, it was really good and the view made it even better; all the staff were amazing—Beqa, Anna, and Mariam were so nice and made our stay even better; the hotel sits on the top of a steep hill, it’s a tough climb but there are bolt taxis or bus number 383 to help you; I will definitely stay here again.
