Chalet Ben in Broek

The tiny wooden house sits on the large property owned by the hosts, with green views all around. Cats roam around the cottage and you can hear the hens clucking. The hosts were very friendly and welcomed us warmly. The cottage comes fully equipped with everything needed: tea, coffee, salt, pepper, dish soap and sponges, plus an Airfreyer and a Senseo machine ready for use. Everything is tidy and well maintained. The free parking on the grounds is simply great. I’ll definitely return.

The location was spot‑on for us. The beds were wonderful and comfortable. We hit a bit of bad weather, but everything else was taken care of. The outdoor seat looked comfy too, though we didn’t use it. The shower was good.

“Lovely stay, would recommend.”

I appreciated the remote feel, letting me enjoy a quiet breakfast and evening before and after our adventures. It wasn’t far from anything either – we did day trips to Amsterdam, Hoorn, Callantsoog/Bergen, Zee, and Alkmaar by car. In about 40 minutes you’re everywhere. The garden was lovely, with chickens and beautiful flowers. The tiny house was very clean and well kept, and the hosts were very nice! The mosquitoes were a nuisance, but that’s just nature – just pack some spray and you’ll be fine. It’s not ideal for arachnophobes (I loved the spiders), though we had none inside our cabin, only outside.

“Caratteristico”

The chalet is charming, in a great spot to reach many characterful places in north‑west Holland. It has everything you need for a short stay. We liked the air fryer for cooking and the coffee/tea set! The owners were very welcoming and kind. The place feels a bit damp and cold, especially on rainy days, even in August.

“Idylle mit kurzen Wegen”

Absolute Ruhe und trotzdem perfekt gelegen, um Touren mit Auto und Rad unternehmen zu können. Haus ist pragmatisch ausgestattet, aber mit allem, was nötig ist. Vermieter war sehr freundlich und "unaufdringlich"
