The downstairs restaurant had great ambiance and was close to the beach. The staff should stop playing ambient music with AI‑generated lyrics—people are fed up with it and almost left for breakfast elsewhere to avoid it.

The location is perfect, right next to the beach with plenty of restaurants and bars. Breakfast was the best we had on the trip, offering any beverage or item from the La Luna menu; even if you don’t stay here, it’s worth visiting for breakfast. The staff were kind and ensured we had enough water and everything we needed. The room, though lovely, showed signs of wear: roof leaks, torn bed sheets, stained bathroom floor, and no fridge, which would have been handy for cold water. For the price, I expected better.

The location is great and the restaurant is very nice! The place wasn’t very clean, and there were no blackout curtains or even curtains on the upper‑bed window.

The location is unreal—just 2 seconds to the beach and a short walk to any shop or restaurant in town. Our room was small for four people, and the bathroom door didn’t close, so it got smelly quickly.

The hotel sits right at the intersection of the main street and the beach, always bustling and very central. The room is large, has AC, and is close to everything, with an ATM just outside. Breakfast was decent, especially the smoothie bowl which was big and tasty! However, the room wasn’t clean—dusty, with animals inside. It felt unfinished and old, with exposed pipes and a broken bathroom door. A poisonous tropical centipede lived in my room, indicating damp, rotten wood and poor housekeeping. Check‑in was sloppy; the staff seemed confused I was there and barely answered questions even though many were working at once. During the three nights I stayed, the room wasn’t cleaned at all, and they never emptied the toilet paper bin. The best service came at breakfast, when at least one staff member gave me a smile. I never saw a manager or anyone asking if I needed help. It’s a very odd place, the most expensive and worst I stayed at during three weeks in Sri Lanka. I don’t recommend it—stay with a family instead or higher up on the winding village roads.
