“Great stopover in Joshimath”
Check‑in was easy and the staff were friendly! The only drawback was that there was no shower head.

The location and food were good. Hot water did not meet expectations. The taps were wobbly, and none of the power outlets worked.

The campus boasts lovely gardens that feel quiet and serene, and hot water is available around the clock. The cottages feature front patios with chairs for sitting. When we asked, staff allowed our driver to sleep with them, even though the hotel doesn’t normally provide driver accommodation; we had to request it a few times, but one staff member happened to be on a break and a bed was empty. However, the facilities are very basic: the bathroom has only a bucket and mug instead of a shower, no room heater, no exhaust fan, and the vegetarian restaurant offers almost no options. There are no activities at the hotel, and it’s hard to reach staff for small requests like an extra cup or tissues. The hotel sits in Lower Auli, 5 km below the actual ski resort, and the resort can’t arrange transport to Upper Auli, so the location isn’t ideal, though it is isolated and peaceful.

I was thoroughly impressed with the hotel's fantastic location, but unfortunately, the lack of a designated viewing area on the top floor meant I couldn't fully appreciate the breathtaking views it offered. The hotel's location is indeed superb, but I felt a bit disappointed by the absence of a relaxing spot to take in the scenery.

My stay in Auli was truly beautiful, with the hotel's cozy atmosphere and stunning views making it a memorable experience. However, the frequent power cuts and lack of a TV in the room slightly marred the overall experience, leaving me feeling a bit disappointed.
