“Poor food and accommodations sold as "luxury" for $600/night.”
The beds were comfortable. The staff was amazing. All around. Special thanks to Francis, Dominic.Thomas and other staff I can't remember their names. The staff are the ones that made the stay bearable. We came to the hotel and there was no electricity for a couple of hours, and no water to take showers after a dusty day on the safari. No Wi-Fi until electricity came back in, and once it did, it only works in the food lounge, nowhere else on the property. The dinner the first night was awful. The buffet cooked lunch provided in the safari game ride was awful as well - some dry and overcooked "chicken", soggy cabbage salad and a potato tart. And warm water bottles. Only still water was provided for lunch and dinner. Lights in the room were flickering and in the shower not working at all. Floor boards in the shower were loose and if you stepped on them the wrong way, you get smacked. The "luxury cabins" looked like individual gas chambers rather than any decent building. Squeaky entrance door. No shelves or hangers for clothes. Not enough room lighting. No air at night since they barricade you in. For a whooping $600/night, the Yogi Bear Jellystone camping cabins put this "luxury" property to shame. Food (although full board was included) was worse than Denny's diner type quality. Nothing authentic, nothing quality. Dirty cabin floors, staff comes in with shoes on to make beds and open the "tent" zipper windows and doors
