Having access to a private pool was a highlight, and there were plenty of activities in the resort, so two nights felt insufficient. A few restaurant staff were unfriendly, and for families with children the breakfast options were limited.

The complex has several restaurants and facilities and being able to check availability online was handy, plus the sauna by the pool was comfortable. However, there were a few moments when no one was at the front desk, leaving me unable to get answers, and at breakfast the staff called an omelette “omurice,” which suggested poor training. At dinner in the shabu‑shabu restaurant, I wasn’t noticed by staff despite being inside and waited a while, and calling for help rarely got a response; without call‑bells at tables they should patrol more or wait where guests can be heard. Overall the service level felt low. The room was spacious and comfy, but the bathroom had dried‑on stains and the sink had limescale, indicating incomplete cleaning. Given the hotel’s reputation, I was very disappointed and didn’t feel the hospitality matched the price.

The location was great and the staff were wonderful, but the roadside parking wasn’t paved, so when it rains the ground gets dirty and needs fixing.

The Japanese and Western restaurants were satisfying for breakfast, and the champagne service in the morning was great.
