“Homely and quaint.”
The view and staff were great. They answered all our requests and needs and were very accommodating. The stairs were a bit of a hassle, lol, but that’s to be expected in a mountain town with hills everywhere.
The room offered a great view of nearby villages and the alpine coaster. Breakfast options were limited for Indian or continental dishes.
When the fog cleared, the view of the rice paddies was stunning; lunch was excellent with plenty of choices, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, except for the bathroom which didn’t meet my standards. The infinity pool was great! However, there were many stairs to climb up or down. The worst part for me were the insects – especially ants in a corner seam of the shower walls, a huge amount. The shower wasn’t clean enough for my taste. The privacy curtain between the bathroom and the room was disgusting. Otherwise the rest of the room was clean.
The view was beautiful, the atmosphere quiet and the breakfast fairly tasty. The staircase down to the rooms is quite steep and long, making the walk up a bit tiring. Only certain room categories get access to the new two‑storey pool, which wasn’t clear at booking, so I only got the older pool. The housekeeping wasn’t thorough; the bathroom floor was fairly dirty and there were cobwebs on the wall. The shower head was loose and the hot‑cold water supply was inconsistent. There was no TV in the room.
The pool area and room provided a peaceful atmosphere and a nice view.
