The location is perfect. The room is comfortable and very clean. The restaurant serves great food and wine. Parking is free and convenient. I recommend Retiro do Gerês for good value. The bed was a bit too soft for me.

Fully and recently renovated with every amenity included. We loved that we could cook a full meal for 5 with enough pots, cutlery, dishes etc The location was great for a short stay in Gerês, offering several 1/2 day trails. Nuno the proprietor was absolutely lovely and relaxed. We decided to have dinner at the hostel one night and it was just ‘ok’

The spot was great and the staff kept us in the loop, but the AC was glitchy and the toilet had a bit of a leak; still, it didn't ruin our time here.
