Grandma was incredibly warm and caring, the double bed we slept in was very comfortable, many fellow guests left notes, and the overall vibe was great.

The owner is fantastic—a very kind grandma—and the place was quiet; the best part is the convenience, just a few hundred metres to Registan Square, and I’ll definitely stay again. Grandma’s pancakes were delicious.

The guesthouse is conveniently near the main tourist spots, so you can easily catch a bus back. The host, an elderly woman who only speaks Russian, was very helpful and arranged a special temporary spot in her own room for my early check‑in at 4:30 am because of my night train from Khiva. She used a translation app to communicate since neither my mother nor I speak Russian. There’s a well‑equipped kitchen for cooking. If you want a cozy, home‑like vibe, this is a great choice. The downside is that it’s popular among native Chinese speakers who often talk loudly in their language late at night, so if you want to mingle with them, this could be a good option.

The host was really nice and felt like a friendly local family, but the shower pressure was a bit low.
