The property is a treasure trove of history, dating back to 1601 and earlier, and the nearby church and canal added to the charm. We stayed in Room 3, which was truly amazing. Nothing was lacking; it was completely perfect.

Everything about the place was fantastic, far beyond what I expected. We were upgraded to the most stunning room, breakfast was superb, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. No complaints at all.

The spot is great and the hotel itself looks nice, but it’s pricey for what it offers. The staff act like they’re running a tiny Airbnb instead of a full‑service hotel, which feels unprofessional. The breakfast was awful – the coffee was subpar and the food quality was disappointing, and the staff serving it didn’t help.

Our room – the paddock – was beautiful, but the building itself looked quite run‑down and in need of refurbishment. Breakfast was mediocre and didn’t feel worth the price, and dinner offered a limited selection.

The hotel is pretty in a quiet area, but the bed was very hard without a mattress topper. The location was a bit inconvenient for us because we were traveling the Cotswolds Way.
