“You get what you pay for.”

The location was convenient for my work and the staff running the property were genuinely nice. The place was unclean, with old carpets that should have been discarded long ago, black mould in the shower, and loose flooring around the toilet. Credit to the owners for fixing the leaky toilet within one day of me noticing it. Everything had been washed with what seemed like disinfectant, and the first two days smelled like an overpowering mix of sterility and damp. If I managed this property I’d remove all the carpets immediately; it’s easier to clean and reduces the risk of tenants catching illnesses or bugs.

It’s a “see what you get” hotel; I’d come back if I were on a lower floor. The stairs were a drawback.

The en‑suite was very good value, but there was no chair in the room and the mattress was too soft, causing me to slip off the bed.

“Good value”

The bed was comfortable, there was live TV and hot water, and the staff were friendly. Nothing else to report.

“Didn’t end up staying paid to stop elsewhere because of how disgraceful it was”

Nothing was good; everything was a disgrace, with things not working and falling apart. I wouldn’t put a dog in it, and even other guests mentioned how bad it was. Everything was terrible.
