We had a wonderful stay at Cretan Renaissance Hotel in Chania and couldn’t recommend it more highly! Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully arranged, with so much attention to detail. It was quiet, comfortable, and very relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind after exploring the beautiful city of Chania. The hotel’s location is excellent, right by the picturesque Venetian Harbour, with lovely views and easy access to the charming old town. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible hospitality of John, the owner. He was genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. His thoughtful gestures and personal touches made us feel truly cared for, rather than simply like hotel guests. The breakfast was generous, delicious, and full of variety. One of our favourite moments was enjoying breakfast right outside the hotel, overlooking the beautiful Venetian Harbour. Sitting there in the morning, taking in the stunning views and the peaceful atmosphere, was such a special experience and a wonderful way to start the day. We also had the pleasure of dining at the hotel’s restaurant, and the food was excellent! It was another lovely part of our stay and made the experience even more enjoyable. What impressed us most was John’s thoughtfulness. Since we had to leave very early in the morning, before breakfast service began, he kindly prepared a generous takeaway breakfast for us the night before. It was such a considerate gesture and perfectly reflected the level of care and hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. Cretan Renaissance is much more than just a beautiful hotel. It is a place where you feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely looked after. The combination of its charming atmosphere, spacious and beautifully designed rooms, fantastic location, delicious food, and outstanding personal service makes it truly special.
