We were greeted warmly and had pleasant interactions with Richard; the bed was lovely, the breakfast tasty, and the view from our room was beautiful. The bathroom feels outdated and could use extra cleaning attention, and because the B&B sits on a busy road we kept the well‑insulated windows shut at night.

Richard, the host, is a charming guy and it was a delight chatting with him; we stayed at The Kestrel for two nights for a nearby wedding, the room was simple and efficient, and Richard made a great breakfast each morning, making our stay smooth, though the bathroom extractor fan struggled with dampness and might need fixing.
