“Wunderschönes Apartment in top Lage”
I stayed in a freshly renovated apartment with a fantastic location and lovely décor, and there was nothing to complain about.

Don Alfredo in Taranto blends historic charm with modern comfort. Set in a centuries‑old building, it offers sea‑view terraces, a balcony, and quiet street vistas. Guests enjoy free Wi‑Fi, air‑conditioning, a kitchenette, a hot tub, and family rooms. Breakfast arrives in-room, and the hotel sits a 3‑minute walk from Taranto Cathedral and 700 m from Castello Aragonese.

The place itself was very pretty and tastefully decorated, but the surrounding buildings are intimidating; the whole city of Taranto looks unkempt, with some abandoned, decaying structures, and it gives a dirty vibe. The landlord can’t do anything about that.

The apartment was even more spacious than the photos showed, furnished in a classic, elegant style with high‑quality linens, a wonderful shower jet, double AC, and a second TV. The huge terrace had fig trees, but I chose the terrace by mistake and thought I’d have a sea view – that was the only flaw. In a property I’d call 4‑star superior, breakfast is only 3 stars (the only thing to improve); otherwise everything was fantastic. I also appreciated being able to use the elevator.

The hotel is in the center of Taranto. The self‑check‑in isn’t very convenient; you can’t see the host, which can cause problems getting into the building. Breakfast is limited.
