I paid for a garden retreat but ended up in a construction site with a single bed. The manager called it the deluxe room, the best they had. The stairs to it were an obstacle course of garbage. Construction ran all day, and the air smelled of cigarettes. The balconies on the second floor looked out onto a courtyard full of building debris. The terrace listed in the photos didn’t exist, and the entrance wasn’t private. The room was large but empty, except for a table with two chairs that seemed to come from the construction site. The blanket was so grimy it nearly stuck to my hand, and I doubted the linens had ever been washed. The only ventilation came from a tiny, high window facing the street. The kitchen had nothing, just an awkward sofa and a strange extra room that looked like an afterthought. Some rooms had a jacuzzi that faced everyone who walked in. Security was a gate you could simply open. When I asked to speak to the owner, he was told to be sleeping in the middle of the day. I had seen him in the courtyard, smoking, shirtless. I left within an hour. They wouldn’t talk to me or refund me. The photos are very misleading. Stay somewhere else.
