The vibe, the rooms, and the mountain view from the balcony at sunrise were great, and the kids’ park worked well. We chose Brownstone mainly for the pool, but it was closed for maintenance without prior notice. The food was tasty but pricey, and the games for kids and adults need regular upkeep.

Nothing , don’t book. I recently stayed at Brownstone Hotel for 3 days to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We had planned a small celebration for my 6-year-old daughter, but the situation was mishandled by the staff. When I went to collect the birthday cake, Mr. Probit provided it without a candle or knife. When I pointed this out, instead of resolving the issue, he argued and said that they celebrate birthdays without candles. There was no willingness to understand or fix the situation, which completely ruined the moment for my child. For a family traveling all the way to Tapola (which is about 30 km from Mahabaleshwar), basic hospitality and sensitivity are expected—especially for something as important as a child’s birthday. Additionally: • The food quality was strictly average. • I stayed in a single deluxe room (post-premium standalone cottage), but overall comfort and service did not meet expectations. This was supposed to be a special family occasion, but due to poor service and lack of basic courtesy, it turned into a disappointing experience. I would not recommend this property for families looking to celebrate important moments

The view is good, rooms stay clean, and the swimming pool works. However, the snooker table had a missing ball, the air hockey wasn’t functioning, and there’s no backup electricity.

“Great property, maintenance needs some more attention”

The lunch and dinner was very tasty. The overall property is built with good, nice architecture, and a great location. The swimming pool was very good, children's garden was also very nice. Maintenance was not up to mark, as compared to the cost of the stay. We paid for 3 people, but the tea, coffee, cups and other things were only for two people, towel, dental kit, everything according to two people stay only. The guy at reception was also not very friendly, although he was polite towards the guests, but scolding the staff in front of the guests and overall very loud, creating an uncomfortable situation for the guests as well. Even the plumbing has some kinks that need to be rectified. The smarts fans seemed haunted as they adjusted the speed as per their own accords
