We liked the isolation, the quiet, and the surrounding nature; the hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was excellent, though we had to go down to use the toilets which didn’t bother us too much. The bed is described as large, yet it’s only 140 cm.

The environment was quiet, the air clean, and the solitude accompanied by cow bells; at night it was pitch dark, no mobile signal, but the Wi‑Fi coverage was good and the breakfast was excellent. The towels and sheets were a bit cramped.

Getting to the Gasthaus meant walking a 6‑km dirt trail through the forest to a closed gate, forcing us to finish on foot for the last 300 m. The room’s comfort was minimal: a cramped attic with a shower cabin right in the middle, offering no privacy; there was no toilet in the room, so we had to descend a steep wooden staircase; and there was no wardrobe for clothes or suitcases.

The breakfast was excellent and the host was very friendly, but the room had no private toilet—only a shared one for the house and day guests—and there was no minibar.
