The location was perfect for starting the trek. We took a private room with a bathroom, and the cheapest pension we experienced, including breakfast. It was cold when we arrived, but the electric heating was wonderful—other places left us a bit chilly. The breakfast was included, making it unbeatable.

We had a minor issue with the room, but it was resolved quickly. The room itself was fine and everything was very clean. At night, however, there was a lot of noise from people passing by.

The hostel had just been renovated and was well‑located. The listing advertised a room with five bunks, but there were actually six bunks, so twelve of us shared a single bathroom with one shower and one tap. When we asked for a bucket to collect leftover shower water left by a pilgrim, the hostel staff got upset and we had to argue. Breakfast was included and consisted of coffee with milk or Cola Cao, pastries or toast made from Bimbo bread.

Right on the Camino, the staff were very friendly and funny, check‑in was easy, they carried my bag to my room, served an excellent plate of carbonara, and offered a great view of the city and mountains. The on‑site restaurant provided complimentary breakfast. The value was excellent.

The beds were too close together, there was only one toilet for so many people, and the internet had problems.
