The location wasn’t what I expected, but in a good way—small town, no staff on site unless you call, and I was the only guest in the hotel. Very nice overall. The shower wasn’t as hot as I’d liked, but it was okay.

The Beaumont Hotel blew my expectations out of the water on a long Texas road trip; I arrived to a quiet place with no staff on site, but an email gave me all the access details and everything matched the description. The place is simple yet instantly cozy, the rooms are spacious and spotless—especially the bathrooms and fixtures—and the décor is a stunning mix of historic posters, ads, and aviation, car, and motorcycle memorabilia. The town is small, isolated, and peaceful, making the hotel a hidden gem in rural Kansas. My only let‑down was realizing I probably won’t pass through that part of the country again soon. If you’re a motorcyclist or on a road trip, this privately run historic hotel is a must‑stay. I couldn’t try breakfast because nobody was around during my single night, but the café looks charming and there’s a bar; I’d love to return when the place is busier and spend more time in the common areas.
