“2 DIAS PENDIENTES DE DEVOLUCIÓN”
Nothing, they kicked me out of the room and didn’t give me the two nights I was supposed to get back; I wasn’t refunded those two nights and at first they made me pay twice.

Definitely not a five‑star place; the rooms feel old and have serious wear and tear, plus electrical hazards—several lights were out on arrival and an outlet was hanging from the wall with exposed wiring. I was pressured to join the Palladium Group timeshare club, told they had a gift for me, but it turned into a 3‑4 hour sales pitch that ruined my day. Butler Cindy was basically useless and didn’t seem eager to make our stay memorable; I complained, and she tried to redecorate the room, but the vibe was already dead. I can’t decide whether the seaweed‑infested beach (just a 10‑ft stretch of sand they rarely clean) or the endless stream of solicitors selling things on the beach is worse. The food was awful—everything had that bad butter taste, except maybe Cusco and La Bohème were okay; Helios was disgusting. Overall, most staff seem to have adapted to the American tipping system and expect handouts without doing much, though a handful of about five people did make a real effort, so I tipped them personally.

The place was clean, the staff friendly, and the food really good.

The resort is huge, with several hotel and apartment complexes, and they provide golf carts to move around. The hotel I stayed in and its grounds were impeccably maintained, the staff were welcoming, and the restaurants I sampled served decent food. My room was spacious and very comfortable. However, the location felt remote; I prefer walking and soaking up local life, so getting out of the resort and into town felt like a mission. A taxi would have worked, but I’m someone who likes to stroll and absorb everything. Nothing’s wrong with the resort itself—if that’s what you’re after, it’s great; it just wasn’t my style.

The cleanest and most welcoming resort I’ve ever been to; nothing I didn’t love.
