I was pleased that the hotel was close to the station and that even the cheapest room had the essentials besides the bath. The staff member who took my luggage looked intimidating, and there were only two showers; when I finished, a woman with a strange expression waited for me around 4 am—though I didn’t stay that long. I wonder if there’s a way to improve that.

There was no breakfast, but the hotel is very near the transport hub exit! I booked a room that had a door inside it; even though the staff assured me everything was fine, I still wanted a different room, and the staff kindly swapped it for me—thanks a lot! I love Japan!

The bath was fantastic, and the location was spot‑on. The problem was that the floor with female capsules and toilets also had male capsules, so the men would stare at me, making me feel uncomfortable. The TV in the capsule was old, had few channels, and most of them were unusable—very annoying. Also, there was no ventilation explanation, so the first night was dry and cold, making it hard to sleep.

Everything was thoughtfully arranged. The only issue was that the bottled water I had expected in the fridge was missing, so I had to go buy some.
