The town has a very pretty central street, lovely for a walk. The breakfast had little variety and was worse than at other similar accommodations we had stayed at.

The breakfast was great and the staff were very nice. Even though it’s an aging building, they keep it well maintained and clean. The room was large and the electric fireplace provided a nice nightlight. We really enjoyed the large indoor pool and hot tub. There were no towels in the pool area, but we had our own and didn’t need to use bath towels. Our room had a damp mildew smell, as if there had been water damage before, but the air freshener spray helped a lot. The bed was too hard for my liking, though my husband thought it was good, so it’s just a matter of preference.

The front desk was super friendly, but the breakfast was awful – we sat for 20‑30 minutes waiting for more food, the bacon was translucent and the gravy for the biscuits was practically liquid. It was disgusting, and the room still carried a cigarette smell even though it was a non‑smoking room.
